Vicky (Austin) Shaver

As of this day, 3-18-08, I'm just plain happy to be healthy, alive & kickin' and I suppose it's because we're all close to or already have turned that 1/2 century age. I'm looking forward to the last 1/2 century! My husband (Tom - graduated from Hoover in '69) & I will celebrate our 32nd anniversary this year. Our painting & decorating business has kept us busy all these years & we have actually accomplished a pretty loyal staff & crew. I quit working in 1998, but still am involved. We have 3 kids & a super son in law: Franny - age 29 & her husband Chris, Katie - age 25, Charlie - age 20. We also have 3 grandkids: Samantha - age 10, Jessy - age 4, Betty - age 1. Katie will graduate from Bellevue University this June. Charlie attends Iowa Western JC on a baseball scholarship. Charlie keeps us all laughing and comes by his humor naturally from his dad. Our spare time is filled with traveling to baseball games & getaways to Okoboji any time we can go. Tom & I are really enjoying the empty nesters life. That's the beauty of it, you still can see them anytime you want. Looking forward to seeing you all for the next gathering of the black & orange. I look back on that time and think oh my gosh did we have fun or what...Karen, Kim, Marsha, Cynde, Gena, Becky?? Graduation day was unbelievable and Tom still can't believe it!!! Ha.

Doug Stilwell

Mike Struck

Why Should You Go To Our 30 Year Class Reunion Mike’s Top Ten List 1. Hair is over rated 2. No pop quiz at nights end 3. Life’s not about things, it’s about friends 4. I’ve never met a jerk at a reunion, jerks stay home 5. Wrinkles are sexy, let’s see who has the most “sex appeal” 6. People Change, you’ll never know how much unless you go 7. No one cares what you weigh, …unless you show up in a bathing suit 8. If you didn’t have fun in High School, the reunion is your best shot at a “do over” 9. Unlike most friends we make in life, friend from High School are friends for life 10. We can thank God together that we didn’t go to Dowling
